Welcome Parents

If your child is considering trying out for Western Unite FC (WU), or is already on a WU squad, we are confident that you will be very pleased with the WU experience. WU seeks to sponsor two or more teams in each age and gender bracket. All WU teams share "a commitment to excellence in the game of soccer" and several key characteristics:

  1. an emphasis on player development,
  2. excellent coaching,
  3. exceptional support and
  4. exhibit good sportsmanship and appreciation for "the laws of the game."

WU teams play in The New England Premiership (NEP), which is a new club-based league for clubs throughout New England that are focused on player development. The NEP will create a superior player development environment by ensuring the appropriate numbers-a-side per age group - U10s will be 6v6, U11s and U12s will be 8v8, U13s and U14s will be 11v11. WU teams will play games split into single regional games and festival format (2 games per day). Festival format reduces travel distance and regional games are played against opposition based on geographical location.
